At Brighter Vision, we offer supervision to therapy-related masters level students in their final placement or final year, who have previous clinical experience and are seeking to fulfill their clinical graduate degree requirements. As a clinical intern, you can expect to meet with and provide counselling services to clients in a support
At Brighter Vision, we offer supervision to therapy-related masters level students in their final placement or final year, who have previous clinical experience and are seeking to fulfill their clinical graduate degree requirements. As a clinical intern, you can expect to meet with and provide counselling services to clients in a supportive private practice setting under the supervision of both a Registered Social Worker and a Clinical Psychological Associate. You will learn about a variety of clinical therapeutic modalities from a trauma-informed lens, managing a caseload, case conceptualization, the basics of administrative duties, and documentation within a private practice business model. The clinical internship is a hybrid program comprising in-person and virtual client sessions, with a major emphasis on working with clients in-person at our clinic. The intern must be willing and available to work in the Stratford location.

We cover topics including case conceptualization, consultation and supervision, the application of therapeutic modalities, charting and documentation, confidentiality, and duty to report. We cover topics including case conceptualization, consultation and supervision, the application of therapeutic modalities, charting and documentation, confidentiality, and duty to report. We highlight the importance of self care and assess for burnout. Clinical supervision is offered one-on-one on an as-needed or on-going basis based on the supervisee's needs.
In both approaches, our goal is to collaboratively develop a supervisory plan that accommodates your unique needs.
